Is it really free, or is there a catch?
Really free. You get unlimited invoices, up to 10 clients and 25 saved products on the free plan — no credit card, no trial period counting down, no watermark on your invoices. If your business grows past 10 clients, Pro lifts the caps. Until then, nothing expires.
Do I need to sign up to create an invoice?
No. Our free invoice generator lets you build a professional ZAR invoice and download the PDF without an account at all. Sign up later if you want us to save it, track whether your client opened it, and follow up on late payments — your invoice carries across, nothing gets re-typed.
Does it handle VAT and SARS tax invoice requirements?
Yes. VAT is optional per invoice — switch on 15% if you're registered, leave it off if you're not, and your VAT number appears on the invoice when it should. Every invoice includes the fields SARS expects on a valid tax invoice, so you're not piecing it together yourself in Word.
Do you take a cut of my payments?
No. We never touch your money — we don't process payments, we don't hold funds, and your client pays you directly the way they always have. If we add online payments later, it will connect to your own merchant account, and the money will still go straight to you.
Can I bring my existing clients and price list across?
Yes, and this is the part we're proudest of. Upload the spreadsheet you already use and we'll read it, map the columns, and show you exactly what we found before anything gets saved. Already making invoices in Canva or Word? Upload one of those PDFs and we'll pull the details out of it.
How do I know my client actually received the invoice?
Because we tell you. You'll see when an invoice was delivered, when it was opened, and if it bounced — so "I never got it" stops being a thing you have to take on faith. Your dashboard shows every invoice's status and how long it's been outstanding, all in one place.
What happens when an invoice goes overdue?
We chase it, so you don't have to have that conversation. Overdue invoices get a polite, professional follow-up on your behalf, timed around what your client has actually done — opened it and gone quiet reads differently to never opened at all. You stay in control of the tone and when it goes out.
Is my business and client data safe?
Yes. Your data is stored securely, it's yours, and we never sell it or share it for marketing. We handle personal information in line with POPIA, and you can export or delete your account data whenever you want. Our privacy policy spells out exactly what we collect and why.

We're Garden Route Innovation & Technology Hub a registered non-profit based in George, Western Cape. We spend our days training South African small businesses and entrepreneurs in digital skills — and we built this because invoicing and chasing payments came up as a pain point in almost every room we walked into. That's also why the free plan is genuinely free: this isn't a startup waiting to raise prices on you.
